Arcos is a Scauldron living on the abandoned Dragons Edge. Most of the time he keeps to himself in the ocean near Fishlegs’ rock garden. Dewdrop the Thunderdrum is one of the few dragons he allows visit him. He is generally cranky because as he’s battled Dragon Hunters before, he has aches and pains in all sorts of places, meaning he’s cranky a lot of the time.
Biography (spoiler alerts)[]
Arcos is one of the wild dragons living in the abandoned Dragon’s Edge at the time of Completely off the Map. He is an elder to consult if things get tough for the wild dragon pack. He is also more experienced with dragon hunters than any of the other wild dragons, which is why Tree is wanting to bring him into the discussion of what to do about the Dragon Hunters. He is trained by Hiccup when the Riders come back to the Edge later in the book.
Relationships[]
Dewdrop: Arcos has a friendly, yet also slightly strained relationship with Dewdrop. The Thunderdrum usually provides the old Scauldron with a meal or an attempt to cheer Arcos up on his more grumpy days.
Tree and Leaf: This troublemaker Zippleback has been known to be on the less favorable side of Arcos. He specifically made a few rules that make sure that those two faces do not enter his sight often.
