I Am You (Tonnere)[]

It was quite a beautiful morning, the terrible terrors were singing, the smell of pine trees was nice, the sun was barley peeking out of the mountains.

Well, at least, that was what Tonnere thought, he couldn't see the sun, he was blind.

He sat down near the edge of the cliff he was living on with Team Soteria.

He inhaled the mountain breeze, shuddering slightly at the cold.

Tonnere heard the sound of the pitter-patter of footsteps. To small to be a Nadder but too large to be a mouse. He sniffed and caught the scent of an unusual smell.

He knew exactly who it was.

"Spirit." he said dipping his head in greeting.

"Woah!" The young Shadow Wing exclaimed, "How did you hear me from all the way over here?"

Tonnere let himself chuckle softly, "I'm blind Spirit. I rely on my other senses to guide me."

"Yikes!" Spirit exclaimed, "So you can't see me or anything?"

"All I can see is darkness." He paused and then added, "You can stop waving your talon in my face now."

"Sorry," Spirit apologized, "Its just so weird, weirder then that nadder that eats those yellow stick things called corn. I mean obviously lettuce is better! Isn't it scary for you?"

"Blindness is not scary if you have been born with it." Tonnere answered Being able to hear, smell, and feel things but not being able to see them allows you to imagine what they look like. Blindness is like, an invintation to be creative, imagine what things looked like if you can't picture then yourself. Blindness also teaches you to really on your nose and ears to survive. Being blind if kind of fun espacially if you like a challenge. It took me three years just to figure out how to hunt."

With that note Tonnere turned and lashed out his wing-claw, snatching up a mouse and held it upwards.

"Your not going to eat that are you?" Spirit asked, a tone of horror in his voice.

Hm, not a meat eater? Understandable.

"No I won't." Tonnere answered, "He released his grip on the mouse and he heard it scurry back into hiding, "What are you doing up so early?"

"Well I was sleeping, I dreamed that I had a blanket, it was so warm and cuddly, and then all of a sudden it became freaky cold and I began to get the feeling I was being watched and then I saw these eyes and-"

Eyes? Tonnere echoed, his heart started to quicken.

"Spirit, by any chance were those eyes crying out blood?"

The little dragon paused, "Whats blood?"

"Red liquid." Tonnere explained.

"Oh yeah, that part was a little weird."

Warm blanket. Could Spirit of meant wing instead of a blanket. If so that only mean one thing...

"Thank you Spirit," Tonnere said, "But there is something I need to do."

"Awwww." Spirit muttered, disappointed, "How long will you be gone?"

"I am not sure." Tonnere replied, "But I will return."

I hope.

And with that he spreaded his wings and shot into the air.

Tonnere flapped his massive wings in the air, sniffing occasionally for any scents of Hestia.

That wing was warm to Spirit, just like Hestias scales, and those Blood-tear eyes. Could it possibly mean that...?

Tonnere didn't like that thought. He pushed it into the back of his mind, yet knowing that it soon would come back once more.

Where could of that Fire-Dragon of gone? Tonnere wondered. Something wet spattered on his snout and he pointed his head at the sky.

Rain. He thought,  Symbol of sadness. That isn't good.

Suddenly a peircing noise like the earth being split in two rattled in Tonneres ears and a searing heat blasted onto his back.

It didn't hurt him, not even a single scale, instead he felt a pulsing energy through his spikes as the heat disappeared.

Correction. Thunderstorm. Tonnere thought, Symbol of Fear and...Death. Very comforting.

He felt like that lightning strike meant something, as if it was preparing him up so he could release a beam of lightning.

Whatever it is it-

His thought was jsut short when a blade of pain pierced through his skull, Tonnere gritted his teeth to keep himself from falling.

Eyes, crying blood, a mouth opening to reveal thousands of sharp teeth, a drop of water splashing on a scale and suddenly blood began to spew out, enough blood to fill up a river.

And just after that the pain was gone, and Tonneres vision faded back to the darkness he was always used to.

Hestia's hurt, Tonnere thought, Not by him, but something else, I need to hurry.

He took to the air once again, taking in a huge breath, he caught her scent, she was around here somewhere.

Folding his wings we spreaded out his feet and landed on the ground, he could feel the grass, wherever he was it was in the north side of the Soteria camp.

"Hestia!" he called, spreading out his wings and taking a few steps forward.

A few seconds later he heard a voice respond, "Great. What do you want?"

Taking a few steps forward he found one of his wings brushing a smooth and large stone, heat was radiating from the bottom of it.

"How did you get here?" Tonnere asking bending over to sniff the ground, grumpy aura and extremely hot scales, yup, definetly Hestia.

"Well I was having a nice and peaceful nap outside, without any snoring coming from a particular Skrill."

(Tonnere snorted at this, he never snored, at least nobody told him he did." "And then SOMEONE, KNOCKED ME UNCONCIOUS AND DRAGGED ME HERE AND PUT THIS STUPID ROCK OVER ME!" Drag Hestia? Is that even possible? Tonnere wondered.

He sniffed once more and caught another scent.

"Are you bleeding?" he asked.

"What does it look like?!" "Hestia, I'm blind."

He heard her sigh in frustration, "Of course I am bleeding, on my tail and on my shoulder."

Theres only one dragon I know that goes for the shoulder, to rip the head off his victims.

"Hestia, do you by any chance get a glimpse of what your captor looked like?"

"I think." Hestia muttered, "When I woke up I saw something red dash into the tall grass."

Eyes and Blood, wounds on the neck, red color, it really is him.

He opened his mouth to speak but someone beat him to it.

"ƬƠƦƬƲƦЄ ƖƧ ƜƠƦƬӇ ƬӇЄƝ ƊЄƛƬӇ ƖƧƝ'Ƭ ƖƬ ӇЄƧƬƖƛ?"

Tonnere whirled around, knowing he couldn't see who spoke but he didn't need to see, he knew who it was.

"ӇЄԼԼƠ ƬƠƝƝЄƦЄ," Watcher growled, "ƜЄ MЄЄƬ ƛƓƛƖƝ."

"I figured it would be you." Tonnere said, the only sign of his anger was his tail, lashing quickly.

"ƜӇƛƬ ƛƦЄ ƳƠƲ ƊƠƖƝƓ ƬƛԼƘƖƝƓ ƬƠ MƳ ƤƦЄƳ?" Watcher hissed.

"I am not your prey!" Tonnere heard Hestia hiss behind him, "I'm twice your size."

A rush of wind made Tonnere turn back to Hestia, Watcher, he assumed, was right next to her.

"ƠӇ ƁƲƬ ƳƠƲ ƛƦЄ," The Speed Stinger growled in his maniac like voice, "ƳƠƲƦ MƳ ƤƦЄƳ. ƛƝƊ Ɩ ƛM ƓƠƖƝƓ ƬƠ ƦƖƤ ЄƔЄƦƳ ԼƖMƁ ƠƲƬ ƠƑ ƳƠƲƦ ƁƠƊƳ, ƧƬƛƦƬƖƝƓ ƜƖƬӇ ƳƠƲƦ ƬƛƖԼ."

"Don't hurt her." Tonnere growled, he felt like so many things were happening at once, he had no idea what he could do.

"ӇMMM," Watcher muttered, "ӇƛƔЄ ƑЄЄԼƖƝƓƧ ƑƠƦ ƬӇƖƧ ƊƦƛƓƠƝ ƊƠƝ'Ƭ ƳƠƲ? ƛӇ Ӈƛ, ƛ ƜЄƛƘƝЄƧƧ."

Viking dung. Tonnere cursed, should of kept that to myself.

"ƳƠƲƦ ƦƖƓӇƬ ƬƠƝƝЄƦЄ," Watcher said, "Ɩ ƧӇƠƲԼƊƝ'Ƭ ƘƖԼԼ ӇЄƦ."

"Enough with your tricks and lies Watcher." Tonnere hissed, "What are you getting at."

"Ɩ ƛM ƧƛƳƖƝƓ ƜӇƛƬ ƑƲƝ ƜƠƲԼƊ ƖƬ ƁЄ ƖƑ Ɩ ƊƖƊƝ'Ƭ ƘƖԼԼ ӇЄƦ?" Watcher pointed out, "ƜӇЄƝ ƖƝƧƬЄƛƊ, ƳƠƲ ƇƛƝ ƘƖԼԼ ӇЄƦ ƳƠƲƦƧЄԼƑ."

No, Tonnere thought, his veins turning to ice.

"Watcher don't-"

He tired to speak but his jaw froze, he tried to move it, but he had no control of it anymore.

""ƬӇЄƦЄ." Watcher said, with a tone of triumph in his voice, "ƜƛƧ ƬӇƛƬ ƧƠ ӇƛƦƊ?"

Hestia, Tonnere thought, I'm so sorry.

His head jerked around and his teeth bared.

"What did you do to him?" Hestia demanded.

"ƬƠƝƝЄƦЄ ƖƧ ƠƝ MƳ ƧƖƊЄ ӇЄƧƬƖƛ. ӇЄ'Ƨ MƖƝЄ, Ɩ ƇƛƝ ƇƠƝƬƦƠԼ ӇƖM."

"Tonnere would never attack anyone!" Hestia said.

"ӇЄ ƜƖԼԼ ƝƠƜ." Watcher smirked.

Lightning crackled from Tonneres back, his jaw unhindged.

Watcher, Tonnere begged, Don't kill her, this is not right, kill me instead.

Watchers responded with an eiree cackle.

Give up my servant? You think I give my prey mercy? Do yo honestly think that I will join Everest and her idiotic team of dragons? Who do you think I am Tonnere? I am Watcher, I am the demon of all dragons!

As lightning poured from Tonneres mouth, and Hestias roars of agony and Watchers filled Tonneres ears.

Tonnere responded to Watcher, tears leaking from his corrupted selfs eyes.

And I am Tonnere, guardian of all dragons!

And at that same moment, all the noise disappeared, and Tonneres blindness disappered.

He found himself on a platform of dead and rust colored grass, surrounded by a void of darkness.

"ƜЄԼƇƠMЄ ƬƠƝƝЄƦЄ." Watchers voice rumbled, louder then thunder.

"Where have you brought me." Tonnere asked, turning around in a 360, "I never seen any vision like this before."

Watcher let out a laugh, "ƬӇƖƧ ƖƧƝ'Ƭ ʆƲƧƬ ƛƝƳ ƔƖƧƖƠƝ ƬƠƝƝЄƦЄ, ƳƠƲ ƛƦЄ ƇƠMƤԼЄƬЄԼƳ ƲƝƊЄƦ MƳ ƇƠƝƬƦƠԼ."

At the word "control" thousands of giant orange eyes opened all around Tonnere, a second later blood began to pour out of them faster then a waterfal.

"What are you doing?" Tonnere yelled, the reek of blood filling his nostrils.

"ƳƠƲ ƘƝƠƜ ӇƠƜ ƛƝƝƠƳƖƝƓ ƳƠƲ ƛƦЄ ƬƠƝƝЄƦЄ?" Watcher asked, ignoring his question, "ƳƠƲ ƬӇƖƝƘ ƛԼԼ ƊƦƛƓƠƝƧ ƇƛƝ ƇӇƛƝƓЄ ƑƦƠM ƊƛƦƘƝЄƧƧ ƬƠ ԼƖƓӇƬ."

The blood has risen all the way to Tonneres head, he tried to  hold his breath but began to sink deep into the ocean of blood, sinking, sinking sinkin.

Then the blood disappeared, Tonnere tired to flap his wings but their was no air to support him, he hit the solid, cold, floor.

"ƤЄƛƇЄ ƖƧ ƝЄƔЄƦ ƬӇЄ ƛƝƧƜЄƦ ƬƠ ƛƝƳƬӇƖƝƓ." Watcher hissed, "ƖƬƧ ƛԼԼ ƛƁƠƲƬ ƔƖƠԼЄƝƇЄ ƛƝƊ ƧƘƖԼԼ."

All of a sudden, in front of Tonnere four giant, skeletal wings erupted from the shadowy earth.

Tonnere's heart began to pound, as the wings began to connect to two giant skeletal dragons, skeletal skrills.

"ƖƑ ƳƠƲ ƜЄƦЄ ƑƛƧƬ ЄƝƠƲƓӇ ƳƠƲ ƇƠƲԼƊ ƠƑ ƧƛƔЄƊ ƳƠƲƦ ƁƦƠƬӇЄƦ ƛƝƊ ƧƖƧƬЄƦ." Watcher hissed, "ƖƑ ƳƠƲ ӇƛƊ ƬӇЄ ƧƘƖԼԼ ƳƠƲ ƇƠƲԼƊ ƠƑ ƘƖԼԼЄƊ MЄ."

Tonnere tried to run, like his life depended on it, (which it did), but no matter how fast he ran, the creatures got closer and closer.

"ƑƛƇЄ ƖƬ ƬƠƝƝЄƦЄ,"

A searing pain erupted from Tonneres back as green lightning erupted from the Skrills mouth's.

"ƤЄƛƇЄ. ƜƖԼԼ. ƝЄƔЄƦ. ЄҲƖƧƬ."

The skrills, who and picked Tonnere up and slammed him mutiple times into the ground, disappeared.

Tonnere could feel all his bones, cracked, screaming in pain, every breath was like agony to him.

"Maybe..." Tonnere rasped, "Your right Watcher."

He tried to get up but fell back, "As long as your here, my friends, Hestia, everyone I love, they will never have peace."

He pushed himself upward, blood was leaking from his mouth, "But peace is like the light, while chaos grows and destroys, light alwys comes back and wins again." Watcher was silent, only growling for a minute, then all of a sudden he appeared, twenty times the size of a Red Death, with his tree sized talons, he grabbed Tonnere, bringing him up close to his snout.

"ƳƠƲ ƝЄƔЄƦ ƧƬƠƤ ƁЄƖԼЄƔƖƝƓ ƊƠ ƳƠƲ?" He roared in a thunderous voice, "ƖƝ ƬӇƖƧ ƧƬƠƦƳ ƬƠƝƝЄƦЄ, ԼƖƓӇƬ ƜƖԼԼ ƝЄƔЄƦ ƜƖƝ! ƊƛƦƘƝЄƧƧ ƛƝƊ ƊЄƛƬӇ ƜƖԼԼ ƇƠƝƧƲMЄ ƬӇƖƧ ƜƠƦԼƊ ƑƠƦЄƔЄƦ."

Through all his cracked bones, broken wings, and Watchers grip, Tonnere croaked "Not unless you watch your back."

Using all his strength Tonnere turned and felt his tail smacked against something hard

Watcher widened his eyes, and then his eyes rolled back, the grip on Tonnere was released and his vision turned to black once more.

"Woo we got him!" Spirits cheery voice exclaimed.

"For once you actually did something useful." Another voice said, Apollo.

"Tonnere, mind explaining all this." Eros asked in his cold voice.

"Hey, give him a breather first." Spirit said, "I mean didn't he just go all wacko and stuff?"

"How did you find me?" Tonnere asked.

"I got the smelly of smellington smelly nose!" Spirit exclaimed, "I found ya! Now its your turn! What happened to you?"

"Watcher was mind controlling me." Tonnere said, "He transported me to my mind so he could torture me from the inside. But he didn't realize that doing that would weaken his mind control on me, so at the right time I knocked him unconcious."

"Well now he's asleep." Apollo said, "All thanks to me."

"Yeah," Eros responded, Tonnere could almost see him roling his eyes, "All thanks to you."

"Need some lettuce?" Spirit asked, "Its delicious and the best thing in the world?" "What?" Apollo demanded, "Thats not right! Corn is!" "LETTUCE IS THE GODLY VEGGIE OF THE UNIVERSE!" Spirit yelled.

"CORN IS GOLDEN AND DELICIOUS!" Apollo snapped back.

"Someone knock out those knuckle heads before I do it myself." Eros muttered, "Want me to kill Watcher for you or do you want to do it?" "No." Tonnere answered, "Leave him. One day maybe he will learn his lesson."

"What is it always with having peace with you?" Eros asked him over the sound of Spirit and Apollo arguing in the background, "You know the minute he wakes up he's going to go after you again right? We could just end it here right now, it would be one less Milney to worry about."

"I'm not a killing dragon." Tonnere answered, "Sooner or later Watcher will learn his lesson. "

"You said that the last ten times you encountered him." Eros said, "AND CAN YOU TO JUST SHUT UP?! YOU TWO MORE ANNOYING THEN A FIREWORM INFESTATION!!"

At the word "fire" Tonnere was instantly reminded, he turned around and sniffed, then ran over in the direction when he caught the scent.

"OI watcha doing?" Spirit asked.

"Hestia." Tonnere said, too hurt and focused to say anything else.

"Hestia?" Spirit echoed, "What is that? Some sort of toy? Rock? Plant? Fruit? Is it anything like lettuce? Does it taste like lettuce? Does it look like lettuce?"

"Spirit." Eros growled, as if he was one step away from blowing up, "Hestia, is a DRAGON." "Oh," Spirit said, "Its still edible right?"

Tonnere brushed a claw and felt a stone.

"Hestia?" He asked, he lowered his snout, he could feel the heat radiating from her scales.

"Woah whats up with her?" Apollo asked, "Her scales are all black."

"I-I shot her." Tonnere said, choking.

"You shot her?" Spirit gasped, "Tonnere is turning against us! I should of known!" A small prick came on Tonneres tail.

"Spirit, get off Tonneres tail." Eros ordered.

"Buh heh evil!" Spirit protested.

"Tonnere would never hurt a dragon!" Apollo pointed out.

Tonnere turned in the direction of the nadders voice.

"Right...?"

"Watcher controlled me." Tonnere said, "He made me shoot her."

"Is she alive?"

"I'm not sure." Tonnere admitted.

"Look, we will take her back to Everest and the rest of the team." Eros said, "Deal?"

Tonnere nodded.

As they all lifted up into the air Tonnere turned around, feeling the sunrays radiating on his scales.

The light has won today. Tonnere thought with a smile, And it will again, once more.
