The Sky Emperor is an Immense, Tidal-Class dragon of unknown origin, and currently unknown location.

Appearance and Biology[]

The Sky Emperor is an immense dragon, where it's sheer size dwarfs even the Bewilderbeast in size, many times over. It's true coloration is unknown, as the sections of it that typically remain underwater have been bleached white from the lack of sunlight as it sleeps, whereas the sections that remain above water have begun growing vegetation, and have even developed rock formations along it's spines, both giving it the appearance of an island chain. Inside the Sky Emperor's very body is similar to that which stays above water, giving it the appearance of a vegetation-filled cave, if one was able to find an entrance inside the beast.

It is these mistaken appearances in combination with it's long sleep time that results in human habitation upon it, the settlers not knowing what they're building their homes upon, and never knowing for centuries until the Sky Emperor wakes again.

The insides of the Sky Emperor are unusually habitable, as there are very few means of Antibodies or other forms of Immune system, and it is not unusual to find that what was supposed to be it's food perfectly alive and living within it. In addition, it's body is immensely thick, it's skin and scales likely hundreds of meters thick, so if one would become lost within the beast's body, it is unlikely they'd ever be able to find an escape. Furthermore, if you take the risk of becoming it's slumbering food and go deep enough down it's throat, you would find what you could only assume to be a miniature star deep within it's chest. It is theorized that it is this star from which it's fire comes from, as a pure beam of nuclear fusion shoots up it's throat and out it's mouth at whatever poor fool angered the giant.

The Sky Emperor, due to it's immense size, movement is a difficult and energy-inefficient task; as such, it will spend one thousand years in hibernation, after which it will awake and go out to a new location in the ocean, consume all food within the vicinity, and then go back to sleep for another thousand years, from which the cycle will repeat. Rarely, however, if there proves to be something that threatens the giant, it will awake from its slumber early to destroy anything that happens to be around it.

Despite its name, the Sky Emperor cannot truly fly. It fills up special organs in it's body with Hydrogen, and in combination with it's massive wings, it is able to lift itself just barely out of the water for a short period of time; the Sky Emperor commonly does this when it needs to cross over any particularly large trenches at the bottom of the ocean, though it rarely does, the effort needed to fly at all being so immense, it rarely continues further once it lands, as the energy required had drained most of its reserves. Furthermore, while walking alone is enough to cause Tsunamis along the coastlines of nearly every continent that borders it's current ocean, it's flight poses even more threat to human life as it's wings create Hurricanes, and landing creates Earthquakes, all in combination to the Tsunamis it makes normally.

Behavior and Food[]

It is said that to find the Sky Emperor, all one must do is sail to unfamiliar islands, and look for sea life. This is because the Sky Emperor will simply eat anything, and everything; where it is, you are guaranteed to find nothing for miles in any direction. There will be no sea life, no dragons of any kind, no sea birds; the hunger of the Sky Emperor is so immense, that for miles in any direction, there wont even be any other islands, all solid matter stripped away and consumed down to the bedrock.

The Sky Emperor, with the exception of the few threats it faces and that which would become its food, is typically a gentle giant, preferring simply to sleep in peace, and often permits humans to construct homes both upon it, and within it without interference. In this way, it is among the only dragons to tame humans, rather than the other way around.
