Zaia Siritsin is a female viking blacksmith that is the current leader of Ironside Island. She serves as the main antagonist of the fan story RTTE - Sidelined Guys.
Biography[]
Zaia has spent the majority of the 24 years of her life smithing, with it being a natural talent for her. Her other main role is being the appointed leader of Ironside Island, a position urged onto her by her village, which she accepted with in understanding.
Since childhood, she has had a large fondness to the Norse goddess Frigg, and always looks to her for direction.
In the fan story she was introduced in, Hiccup, Fishlegs, Snotlout, and Tuffnut first interact with her in the prison cells of her island; after their arrest from freeing captured dragons.
Astrid's first interaction with Zaia was turbulent, to say the least.
Physical Appearance[]
With a developed figure, tanned skin, and relatively tall height, Zaia has the makings of a powerful blacksmith, and is able to fend herself in battle with a warhammer respectably.
For her regular appearance, she wears a beige shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a burgundy apron, and gray boots. She wears an ornate belt as well as hair pieces that contain her hair into two thick strands over her shoulders.
Personality[]
Zaia has a relatively easy-going personality, but can have her extremes. Betrayal and deceit are the easiest ways to anger her, and she hates being taken as a fool.
She can be seen as highly obsessive, such as taking any kind of sign she's received from Frigg to the extremes. There is a slight bit of craziness in her, but not nearly the amount of a Berseker.
At her best, Zaia has a great sense of humor and takes enjoyment in harmless jokes. As a leader she still has much to learn at her young age, but like Hiccup, constantly tries her best.
Relationships[]
- Warpage (Eventual Best Friend) Zaia spent many years with her Armorwing caged in her forge, however she was never abusive to the dragon. The two were able to form a healthy bond later thanks to Hiccup and Astrid.
- Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III (Crush/Later Frenemy) - Zaia's current relationship with Hiccup is a strained one.
- Astrid Hofferson (Archenemy/Later Frenemy) Like with Hiccup, Zaia's relatioship with Astrid is strained. The two have fought to the point of Zaia being knocked out cold by Astrid in the end, with Zaia still desiring revenge of said outcome.
Trivia[]
- Zaia is the second known viking to befriend an Armorwing, after Hiccup and the rest of his riders.
- Her Armorwing is the first known female Armorwing, as well as first to be pink in color.
